Respiratory Health

The Respiratory Health Section was founded in 1995. The section provides a forum for better understanding and improvement of the respiratory health of Canadian children and youth. Section issues include the delivery of care to newborns, children and adolescents with breathing problems, and the effects of living in environments where indoor and/or outdoor air quality is at stake.

Our main goal is to promote high standards of practice in paediatric respiratory medicine, including care provided by paediatricians and family physicians, and to encourage the delivery of optimal care to children and adolescents suffering from any respiratory illness.

We also provide a network for the paediatric section of the Canadian Thoracic Society on common issues and contribute annually to education at the CPS Annual Conference.

Section fee: $24

Contact education@cps.ca with any comments or ideas you may have for the section.
