Immunizations are being provided by a growing number and wider range of health professionals. The CPS recognizes the importance of providing interdisciplinary education in this area.
The Education Program Immunization Competencies (EPIC) is a 1-day course based on the Immunization Competencies for Health Professionals, which were created by the Professional Education Working Group of the Public Health Agency of Canada. The competencies reflect a national consensus on the education and training required by immunization providers.
Upon successful completion of this continuing education course the health professional will be better able to:
The course is open to residency programs in paediatrics, community, family medicine, adult infectious disease, internal medicine, gynecology and pharmacy (complimentary registrations), as well as physicians, nurses and pharmacists.
Registration covers admission to all educational sessions and meals scheduled in the program unless otherwise indicated. Food and beverages provided during this course are for registrants only.
Any cancellation must be received in writing by Friday, February 27, 2015 to generate a refund, and a $100 administrative charge will be deducted. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after this date. Registration fees are not transferrable to another attendee or meeting.
