Adolescent Health Travel Grant

The Adolescent Health Section has created this grant to encourage and support paediatric residents interested in pursuing a career in adolescent medicine.

Community Paediatrics Resident Travel Grant

Provides up to $5000 towards paediatric electives in community or general paediatric practice.

Don & Elizabeth Hillman International Child Health Grant

Provides $750 towards paediatric electives in developing countries.

Emerging Professional in Child Maltreatment Grant

This grant is presented to an individual with a developing interest in the field of child maltreatment paediatrics.

Hospital Paediatrics Project Grant

Provides up to $2,000 to support scholarly initiatives related to clinical care, education or quality improvement in the field of hospital paediatrics.

Hospital Paediatrics Resident Grant

This $2,000 grant is presented to a qualified individual to offset the cost of presenting academic work in hospital paediatrics.

NRP Research Grants

$25,000 Research Grant and a $5,000 Emerging Investigator Award to further knowledge in the area of neonatal resuscitation.


Paediatric Allergy Travel Grant

Provides an educational opportunity for young physicians in, or interested in, the field of paediatric allergy, and fosters interest and participation in the section’s activities. Recipients $750 towards attending the CPS Annual Conference.

Paediatric Resident Advocacy Education Grant

Supports paediatric residents in developing, planning and implementing a community-based research or advocacy project in child and youth health by providing up to $10,000 toward community-based research or advocacy projects. Funded by Healthy Generations

Paediatric Respiratory Health Section Project Grant

The Paediatric Respiratory Health Section Project grant was created to encourage scholarly, knowledge translation, advocacy or quality improvement initiatives related to pediatric respiratory medicine. It is intended to support the work of a pediatric resident who has an interest in the field of Pediatric Respirology. Projects will be chosen based on their relevance to the field of pediatric respirology and feasibility for completion within the two year timeframe.

Oral Health Community Outreach and Research Grant

The CPS Oral Health Community Outreach and Research Grant was created to promote and support oral health community outreach programs and research activities of residents and members in the oral health section.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice Trainee Award

Created by the Developmental Paediatrics and Social Paediatrics sections this award recognizes an insightful and engaging article written by a medical student, resident, or sub-specialty resident on the intersectionality between neurodevelopment and bias, discrimination, racism, and social inequity.
