A home for paediatricians. A voice for children and youth.

Global Child & Youth Health

The Global Child & Youth Health Section (formerly International Child Health section) was founded in 1998 as a network for paediatricians interested in working in low- and middle-income countries and in underserviced communities in Canada. The section provides a forum for discussing issues related to global child and youth health and educates CPS members on relevant global child and youth health issues. Members advocate on select child health issues, both within the CPS and through the CPS Board of Directors. Section members also advocate to and establish partnerships with the federal government, as well as to national and international non-governmental organizations. The section is a valuable resource for CPS members, including residents, who want to serve as consultants on global child and youth health projects that are supported by national and international partners.
