The Canadian Paediatric Society has a number of grants available to help residents and fellows present research, pursue electives or develop community-based projects.
The application deadline for all CPS grants is April 30, except for the Don & Elizabeth Hillman International Child Health Grant which has an additional deadline of October 31 and the NRP grants which have a deadline of March 1.
Provides $750 towards paediatric electives in developing countries.
This $500 grant is presented to a qualified individual to offset the cost of presenting academic work in hospital paediatrics.
$25,000 grant to further knowledge in the area of neonatal resuscitation.
Up to $5,000 awarded to a health professional who has completed their primary professional degree/diploma within the past five years to further knowledge in the area of neonatal resuscitation.
Provides an educational opportunity for young physicians in, or interested in, the field of paediatric allergy, and fosters interest and participation in the section’s activities. Recipients $750 towards attending the CPS Annual Conference.
Promotes opportunities for residents and fellows to pursue electives in the area of paediatric sport medicine. Recipients receive $1,000.
Supports paediatric residents in developing, planning and implementing a community-based research or advocacy project in child and youth health by providing up to $10,000 toward community-based research or advocacy projects.
