Professional achievements and current responsibilities:
Dr. Bob Hilliard is a clinician-educator at the Hospital for Sick Children and Professor of Pediatrics University of Toronto. He was the first head of a Division of General Paediatrics. He has six years experience working in church community hospitals in Kenya and Congo and has worked with medical students in Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. His interests are general pediatrics (including growth and development, chronic illness in children and the psychosocial aspects of Pediatrics), medical education and immigrant and global child health.
Educational Background:
Dr. Hilliard studied medicine at the University of Toronto, earning his MD in 1967. He completed his residency training in paediatrics in Toronto and Montreal. In 1990, he earned a Master’s in Education from OISE (University of Toronto) and later a Doctorate in Education, from the same institution, in 1994.
