Discover Montebello

Nestled on the banks of the Ottawa River, at the crossroads between Montreal, Ottawa and Mont-Tremblant, the little village of Montebello has been the backdrop for historic gatherings, a sanctuary for the rich and famous, and a draw for holiday-makers world-wide since the 1930s. At its heart is Fairmont Le Château Montebello, the largest log structure ever built. Local explorers find cozy antique shops and charming eateries, each boasting the ‘petite-nation’ friendliness that so characterizes this region. Everyday adventurers can plan excursions to nearby Kenauk, a nature preserve that was part of the original Papineau estate and is now maintained by the Fairmont. Here, activities such as fishing, hiking, bird-watching, rafting and even off-roading, abound. Other local natural attractions are the Plaisance Falls, Omega Park—a large drive-through wildlife park—and the Manoir Papineau national historic site.

One of the best and most relevant courses to my general practice paediatrics I have attended in years.
