Maintenance of Certification
The Canadian Paediatric Society is an accredited provider of continuing professional development (CPD) for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This program is designed to enhance the professional development of specialists.
PREP The Curriculum® is one way to meet the yearly MOC requirements.
As an accredited provider, the CPS is able to accredit continuing professional development activities from other organizations.
- Physician organizations*
Events held by physician organizations may be approved for Section 1 without CPS co-sponsorship. To apply for accreditation, complete the MOC Accreditation Package and send to the CPS at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the course.
- Non-physician organizations**
Organizations wishing to co-develop an educational activity must contact the CPS from the initial stages of planning. The CPS will assign a member to sit on the planning committee and will be involved in the entire development process. For more information, please contact the CPS Education Department at education@cps.ca.
The CPS will not co-sponsor any educational activities that have already been developed.
