Who We Are
Residents are the future of paediatrics and are integral members of the CPS. The Residents Section, founded in 1990, provides a network for those in paediatric training. The section represents residents on the CPS Board of Directors through the resident section president. A representative from each paediatric program in Canada is appointed to the section executive committee to act as a liaison between residents and the CPS. The section provides its members with valuable resources such as an updated list of fellowships in Canada and a list of recommended electives.
The section hosts several events at the CPS Annual Conference including an advocacy luncheon and social event. It also communicates with members through the Residents Corner newsletter.
