CPS membership categories
Fellows:
Paediatricians or paediatric subspecialists with Canadian or American certification or a temporary license to practice paediatrics in Canada. Special rates are available for Fellows who have been members for 20 years and have reached the age of 65. Discounts may also be available for those who spend a reduced amount of time practicing paediatrics. Contact member services to see if you qualify. Dues are $470 per year.
Corresponding Fellows:
Paediatricians who are non-residents of Canada or temporary residents of Canada, who have been certified in paediatrics by other than a Canadian or American certifying body. Dues are $120 per year.
Associate Health Care Professionals:
Certified health care professionals such as: nurses, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, play therapists, pastoral care workers, dieticians, audiologists, speech pathologists, physician assistants, respiratory therapists and residents in programs other than paediatrics. Dues are $65 per year.
Associate Physician Members:
Associate physicians, surgeons, and dentists - Non-paediatrician physicians, surgeons and dentists. Dues are $175 per year.
Associate Medical Students:
Health profession students enrolled in an accredited college or university program. Dues are $25 per year.
Resident Members:
Graduate physicians engaged in postgraduate training in paediatrics. Dues are $60 per year.
American Academy Members:
Paediatricians with American Board of Pediatrics certification who are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics, practising outside Canada. Dues are $240 per year.
