Healthy Active Living for Children and Youth
Physical inactivity among children and youth is reaching epidemic proportions in Canada. More than half of children and youth are not active enough for optimal growth and development.
To help combat the growing problem of physical inactivity among Canadian children and youth the CPS has developed tools and resources to help paediatricians and other health care professionals educate parents and patients about the benefits of physical activity, good nutrition and an active lifestyle.
Whether you’re just getting started or already championing healthy active living, these pages can help. You’ll find information, resources and web links that you can use in your practice, with your patients and their families, and in your communities.
